The latest pen from Omas is the "Invisibilis" a pen devoted to esotericism. The pen is made of sterling silver and has a cap that is engraved with five images and esoteric symbols, with contours traced in blue enamel and a piece of coral. The top of the cap shows a Geocentric Universe, and the clip's square design mimics the pyramid-temple of Kukulcan at Chichèn Itzà. Twenty-three phrases, taken from 18th century engravings decorate the nib holder. The nib is made of solid 18K gold decorated with symbols and reflections with esoteric meaning. It comes in a blue lacquered wood box with the engraving of the geocentric universe on the top of the box. It comes in an edition of 1235. After the jump, another picture of the pen and the box.

Pelikan Colossus of Rhodes Pen

Pelikan’s beautiful
“Colossus of Rhodes” fountain pen
celebrates one of the vanished great wonders of the world.
The original Colossus was a massive bronze statue of the sun
God Helios which sat on the island of Rhodes. The statue was
roughly the size of our Statue of Liberty. The fountain pen,
like the original Colossus is partly made of bronze. The
edition number is engraved on the filler knob end and
Pelikan has created 408 of these pens in order to celebrate
the founding of the town of Rhodes in 408 B.C. The shaft of
the pen shows a golden replica of the statue and the cap is
bronze with gold-plating. The bronze clip is gold-plated and
has a Greek key design. The pen has a suggested price of
$3,600 but can be bought for $2,699.
Michel Perchin Serpent Pen
This striking pen from Michel Perchin like others in their line, take its inspiration from a Faberge egg.Faberge’s Blue Serpent Clock Egg served as the model for this pen which is created from .925 sterling silver and then guilloched and enameled. The serpent, crown and end piece are layered in 22-karat yellow gold or rhodium. The pens are a limited edition of 500 each as either a fountain pen or rollerball. The fountain pen sells for $3,700 and the roller ball costs $3,500.
Put
Your Hands Together For The World’s Most Expensive Pen
This one is their masterpiece. An exclusive and exquisite pen designed by the oldest most prestigious makers of pen in Italy has had the world spellbound. Believe it or not, but this gorgeous instrument for writing has around 2,000 ‘4C’ De Beers certified diamonds on a two hectogram solid platinum barrel, which, by the way, has a double tone shade because of being rhodium treated. An 18KT gold nib complements the brilliant design.Believed to be the most expensive pen in the world, the price of this pen has not been made open to the public. But experts have calculated it to be close to 1 million Euros. And what adds to the beauty and enigma of this pen, is the fact that every year only one person gets to own it with a personalization with their coat-of-arms, signature, or portrait.
Montblanc's
Love Letter Ink 2008
A holiday like
Valentine's Day is all in
the details, and in today's world of emails, text messages,
and computerized everything what better detail than to write
your sweetheart a love note by hand in beautiful rose
colored and rose scented ink.
Love Letter Ink 2008 by
Montblanc is available
either by the bottle or in cartridges, and although it's not
clear how strong the rose scent is or how long it lingers (this
reviewer says it's fairly short-lived) how great
it would be for a long-distance lover to open a perfumed
V-Day card along with a delivery of blooms (not to mention
it would be so pleasant to write the note as well!).
BOB
Partington Designs Unique Blood Pen
Another fountain pen but this one is really frightening. Dubbed as ‘The Blood Pen,’ it makes use of a syringe filled with blood along with the fountain tip to appall spectators and magnetize close by sharks. The infuriating instrument on the flipside is a battery operated knob that pushes down on the nozzle to dole out blood when wanted. As projected the loathsome feather on the back comes as an obstacle before your efforts to make it a weird creation or unlikely a real fountain pen.
Don’t fall for this instantly as this is created by an independent designer BOB Partington (KDU member) and there are apprehensions attached that some organization may fall in place stop people from picking this kinda stuff.

David Oscarson Celestial Fountain Pens
The
Celestial Collection
is definitely my favorite of the beautiful enamel pens by
David Oscarson. The pens each have a sunburst design on the
cap with a midnight blue enamel pen which is decorated with
stars and the four phases of the moon. The pen cap comes in
five different colors, white, blue, red, gold and white.
Each pen is made of 18K gold and .925 sterling silver and
enamel and is created in an intricate process that involves
many hours of handcrafting. The pen's filling system
accommodates a cartridge, converter or eyedropper fill and a
roller ball version of the Celestial Pen is also available.
There are 88 of each pen style created and they
sell for $4,500 each.
How's this for a wild pen? This is the Free Ride from Jean
Pierre Lepine. The Free Ride's race-car-like curves are
designed to be ergonomic and fun. The ballpoint pen uses a
rubber like material to cushion the areas where finger meets
pen. This odd-looking pen is available in blue, orange, red,
yellow, green or the chrome shown here.
The pen sells at Joon for $152.
Montblanc
Marlene Dietrich Commemoration Edition pen
Dedicated to actress and singer Marlene Dietrich, this
beautiful
Marlene Dietrich Commemoration Edition
fountain pen from Montblanc is available
in a limited edition of 1,901. The cap and barrel are made
of 925 Sterling Silver with a fine barley guilloche. On the
cap a blue mother-of-pearl inlay houses the Montblanc
signet, as well as a single deep blue sapphire (reminiscent
of Dietrich's eyes) and 22 brilliant cut diamonds. It also
has a platinum-plated 18k gold nib with delicate engraving
and a heart-shaped hole. And of course there's an engraving
of Marlene Dietrich's signature on the barrel ring.
Alexander von Humboldt Montblanc Pen
The
2007 pen in Montblanc's Patron of Art
series is dedicated to the German naturalist
Alexander von Humboldt. The pen is created of granadille,
rare wood similar to ebony and found in the southern
hemisphere, where Alexander von Humboldt did much of his
scientific exploration. The pen is trimmed in sterling
silver on the ends, clip, band and in the center in an
abstract motif that references the art of the indigenous
peoples von Humboldt studied during his expeditions. The pen
has an 18K nib that is engraved with a sextant, another nod
to von Humboldt's voyages of discovery. The pen is available
in an edition of 4,810 pieces. The pen sells for 1,850
euros.
