A Taste of Paris at Laduree Le Bar
After making a name for themselves with their gourmet cakes and pastries, Ladurée, the renowned Parisian pattiserie that brought us the double-decker macaron, continues to reinvent itself, branching out into the world of gourmet French cuisine with their newest establishment – Ladurée Le Bar.
A step inside the Ladurée bar will transport you to a strange new world, with butterflies encased in stained glass windows and steel branches sprouting towards the ceiling.
The work of
designer and antique dealer Roxanne Rodriguez, the
establishment features a large resin bar at its heart,
surrounded by bar stools framed with a complex network of
metal, twisting together to resemble the veins on a leaf.

Inside, diners will be treated to a light cocktail menu of dishes created by Chef de Cuisines Michel Lerout, ideal for those in search of simple yet satisfying gastronomic treats.
Naturally, no trip to Ladurée would be complete without their signature desserts – reinvented by Chef Pattisier Philippe Andrieu to put a fresh twist on their classic sweet treats to round off a meal in simplicity and style.
Serendipity Hits The Sunshine State of Florida
Fans of New York's iconic Serendipity 3 can now get a taste of their famous desserts in the same whimsical, playful setting as the original in the heat of sunny Florida. Set in the exclusive Boca Raton Resort & Club, the new Serendipity outlet is the first of its kind outside the Big Apple.
The second Serendipity outlet will have the same fantastical appeal in its new 1,200-square-foot space, splashed with bright and bold colors and striking Art Nouveau prints.
The same signature Tiffany lamps that hang from the ceilings in New York have also made their way down, putting the final playful touch of color in the trendy café.
A family-friendly menu will serve up exciting desserts, creative sandwiches, and hot favorites off the menu of Serendipity 3, including their famous frozen hot chocolate, the perfect treat on a hot afternoon in the Sunshine State.
Skybar at Traders Hotel(KL) offers new look
Ranked amongst the world’s best bars, SkyBar at Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has just completed its infrastructure facelift after two months of closure.
The rooftop lounge now offers a floor-to-ceiling view of the bustling, lighted up city. Guests can take in the dazzling view of the Petronas twin towers through the full-length windows, while relaxing to the “straight chill” and upbeat music. Overhead installations have been added to protect guests from the sun and rain, and a culinary bay added to display its food preparation process.
The laidback ambience is underscored especially by the 78-foot-long central swimming pool, enclosed by plush banquettes adjacent to the full length windows and running the length of the bar. Swimming pool by day, it is supposedly off-limits during bar hours.
A new tapas menu and a line-up of signature cocktails by international mixologists is also part of the revamp. SkyBar was named “Best Malaysian Bar” in the 2007 edition of Malaysia Tatler Society, and remains one of the city’s most prominent bars with its chill-out atmosphere.
