The Tulip E-Go
A computer that looks like a designer hand bag and costs a small fortune – The Tulip E-Go is certainly the first computer to be made of a combination of leather, wood, fabric and jewellery.
The E-Go comes equipped with the curious arsenal of white gold, diamonds (80 carats) and two rubies, which are crafted into the computer with a jeweller’s touch. This luxury laptop par excellence is also a powerful machine, which has160 GB of memory and 2 GB of RAM. It is safe to say, however, that those who pay the 225,000 € for this notebook aren’t exactly interested in its computing capacity, but rather in its style. It is the notebook for the ladies of 5th Avenue who have long tired of unstylish laptop carrying cases.
Voodoo ENVY H171
The ENVY H171 is mobile alternative to the performance of a desktop for serious users and gamers. Put simply: This computer is the flagship in power and excess memory.
This laptop’s capacity for power and memory is downright staggering. With 600 GB of memory and the Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor, this is the multimedia tank. Any task, regardless of size or complexity, can be performed on this machine.
Sony- Vaio TZ11
In a recent inspection, Greenpeace tested 37 laptops for dangerous chemical substances, energy efficiency, and battery life. The highest overall score was given to the SONY VAIO-Series TZ11, now the world’s most environmentally conscious laptop. In addition to this honor, the new VAIO Notebook is extremely practical, due solely to how light it is. And though it is very slim, it also has a built-in webcam. The Intel Core 2 Duo Processor makes it a very powerful machine, while its curiously low energy consumption gives it an amazingly long (~7 h) battery life.
Apple MacBook Pro
The laptop designed exclusively for the stars – Adorned with gold and diamonds, this is the luxury laptop sure to catch the attention of all who see it. The Apple logo is decorated with diamonds, which weigh a total of 3.5 carats.
From a technical standpoint, this computer is solid. With 250 GB and 4 GB of RAM, it lacks not in performance or capacity. Its performance, however, and understandably so, plays second chair to its golden appearance.
Toshiba: Portégé R500
It’s hard to imagine, but the R500 weighs over a half kg less than the Mac Air! This is the lightest 12-inch laptop in the world.
The R500 is Toshiba’s first laptop that comes equipped with the trademark Solid-State-Hard Drive, which stands alone among hard drives with regard to capacity. The 64GB hard drive is secure and with its Flash memory completely silent. An added plus is the transreflective 12.1 inch widescreen display, which is designed to maintain a sharp picture even in intensely bright atmospheres.
The HP LiM is a concept computer that will surprise you with its bold design.
Less is More (LiM) will bring you a 19 inch transparent touch OLED screen which can slide down to offer you a more ergonomic touch experience.
The touch screen slides down to create a more ergonomic touch experience and easy navigation.
The new Lenovo ThinkPad W700ds has a dual-screen. This is a useful feature I can get excited about. The central screen measures 17” and the supplementary slide-out display supplies 10” of additional viewing.
The downfall I guess it that the laptop now has to be half an inch thicker to accommodate the storage of the second screen, leading to its heavy 11-lb weight.
According to Popgadget the computer’s cost will start at a whopping $3663.
