The three-wheeled electric car that can go faster than a Porsche
A car manufacturer has announced it is on the verge of creating a three-wheeled electric sports car that can travel faster than a Porsche.
The enviromentally friendly ZAP Alias will cost £15,000 and does 0 to 60mph in just 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 156mph.
The futuristic-looking two-seater is being developed with
the help of British car
company
Lotus.
It should go on sale next year. It is powered by two
electric wheel motors, one driving each of the car’s front
wheels. Unlike a Reliant Robin, the single wheel is at the
back.
Together the Alias’s motors generate an impressive 321.85 horse power - as much as a Porsche 911 Carrera, which costs £60,000.
A spokesman for ZAP said: “The ZAP Alias is unlike anything ever seen or driven on the planet. The Alias will redefine driving like no other vehicle in history.”
Swiss
sQuba $1.5 Million Auto Submersible
Swiss-engineered underwater car is the stuff of Bond movies.
The sQuba will cost you $1.5 million, but I urge you to look at this as an investment. I mean, come on, we’re talking Bond women, right?
For your well spent cash, you can take advantage of the max underwater speed of 4mph, max land speed of 75mph, max dive depth 10 meters & a about 90 minutes underwater, what with the oxygen tanks behind your seats.
Custom
carbon fiber GSX-R 1100 show bike up for grabs
Carbon fiber bikes seem to be getting all the attention these days. After the carbon fiber Ducati 999S and the Speed Triple Carbon Limited Edition bike, we have the fully custom carbon fiber GSX-R 1100 show bike, which is up for grabs at eBay. Designed by a guy named Justin and built at the Art Institute of CA as a design thesis project, the stunning bike boasts a 989 oil-cooled 1200cc GSX-R 1100 engine with Wiseco kit. Everything on this bike is custom made, except for the OEM ‘89 wheels and swingarms. The entire frame, seat and tank are made from the same piece of carbon fiber with a honeycomb core for the much-needed strength. Custom rear sets, triple, levers, reservoirs, lights, LED accent lights, and the custom aluminum bodywork are courtesy of Linq Designs. This bike hasn’t been registered yet, but has been spotted at many shows. Lately, it was featured in the Kanye West music video “Stronger” and the Power Ranger’s TV show “Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.” The current bid for the custom GSX-R 1100 show bike sits at $1,125, with a “Buy-it-Now” price of $14,500. For a passionate carbon fiber bike fan, this fully custom GSX-R will be the ultimate dream come true.

LINEA Vincerò is yet another gorgeous Veyron
The Bleu Centenaire wasn’t the only Veyron at the Geneva Motor Show to make heads turn. Bugatti has always earned appreciation for its limited edition Veyrons, and the new LINEA Vincerò is no exception. Done by German tuner Mansory, the Veyron LINEA Vincerò comes with a refined power engine. An advanced cooling system and exhaust system produces 1109 hp and 1310 Nm. Exterior modifications include a new front fascia, smaller hood, striking front apron, newly developed side skirts, a diffuser, larger air outlets and new forged wheels. The LED daytime running lights integrated in the front mount add to the overall aesthetics of the supercar. The interiors come with carbon fiber accents (we just love it), leather seating and trim and an LED ambient lighting system. Only three examples of this stunning special edition Veyron will be put into production.
