ADAM A 700
The A700 AdamJet is revolutionizing the value proposition in the Very Light Jet (VLJ) business jet class by delivering exceptional performance and comfort at a fraction of the ownership cost. Modern airframe design and materials, coupled with highly efficient turbofan engines, usher in a new era of business jet travel.
The A700 AdamJet is a turbofan-powered aircraft that can be configured with six, seven, or eight seats. With the largest cabin in its class and modular, plug-and-play functionality, customers can opt for a six-seat configuration with full aft lavatory, a seven-seat configuration with small aft lavatory, or an eight-seat configuration that maximizes passenger volume. In-cabin storage is located just aft of the crew seats and outside the lavatory compartment. Baggage, including bulky items such as up to four sets of golf clubs, can be stored in the 25 cubic foot nose compartment.
Power is provided by the Williams International FJ33-4A turbofan engine, which has a thermodynamic rating of 1,568 lbs of thrust. For the A700 AdamJet, the FJ33 is de-rated to 1,350 lbs of thrust. Mid-life inspection of the FJ33 will take place at 1,750 hours and engine overhaul at 3,500 hours.
The
A700 AdamJet avionics suite includes a state-of-the-art
glass cockpit that provides Primary Flight Display (PFD)
capability for the pilot. The PFD displays all attitude,
heading, airspeed, altitude, and vertical speed data as well
as flight director, command bars, heading, and altitude
preselects. In addition, Multifunction Display (MFD)
capability provides all navigational information along with
engine instrumentation. For maximum situational awareness,
the flight instrument panel has the capacity to display
weather, traffic, and terrain data. Multiple solid-state
Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Air Data
Computers (ADC) provide attitude and air data information,
while a three-axis digital autopilot, and flight management
system functionality is also included.
The A700 AdamJet will be certified to the requirements of U.S. FAR Part 23 including Day, Night, VFR, IFR, Single Pilot Operation, Flight Into Known Icing Conditions, and RVSM certification. In addition, the aircraft will obtain various foreign certifications such as EASA for European operations.
At
EBACE 2007, Adam Aircraft announced that a China-based
entity of Ameritech Aerospac, General Aviation Airlines has
placed a firm order for 50 Adam Aircraft A700 VLJs.
Moreover, late last year, Magnum Jet has chosen the A700
AdamJet for its new Very Light Jet (VLJ) ownership and
management program and future air limo service.
AIR OF ELEGANS
As members of the wealthy elite and corporate leaders contribute to the proliferation of private aviation in the region, the luxury aircraft market is experiencing a surge in demand. Apart from the privacy of business aviation, wealthy travelers are also looking to put a personal stamp on their own aircraft as an additional element of exclusivity.
In light of this, aircraft manufacturers have joined forces with the most influential in haute couture design to offer exclusive interior design service for private aircraft owners, catering to their specific needs. In these collaborations, aircraft makers provide expert know-how on the logistical, technical as well as management aspects of private aviation, while luxury designers work with aircraft owners on the interior design and stylistic aspects, tailored to their own individual tastes and preferences.
Targeting this emerging market of affluent flyers, the House of Hermès, a renowned player in the fashion world, has recently confirmed a partnership with Eurocopter to create the Helicopter by Hermès. Aiming to enhance the experience of business travel, the unique collaborative effort will see Hermès designer Gabriele Pezzini working with the engineers from Eurocopter.
“While growth in business aviation is robust – with promising upside potential in both the US and other key markets – it is a segment that also places extremely high premium on quality of design,” explains Senior Executive Vice President of Eurocopter Philippe Harache.
Evident in the features of its spacious cabin and storage compartments, the signatures of Hermès are apparent in the interior design of Eurocopter’s EC135 helicopter. A minimalist exterior paint scheme of the spacious cabin interior is complemented with the Hermès’ ‘Toile H’ canvas, with calf leather upholstered seats and banquette. “We set out to create a product that would add value and appeal for a highly desirable, but discriminating market segment,” Harache adds.
In another notable partnership, Versace and TAG Aircraft Interiors also combined their expertise last year for an exclusive interior design service catering to the needs of private jet owners. The crossover effort between Versace and TAG-AI covers the range of interior design applications for Bombardier Global XRS, Boeing BBJ, Gulfstream 550 and Airbus ACJ aircraft.

Bangkok-based Orient SKYs, a private jet charter network has added the Southeast Asian region to its pick-up route with a Hawker Beechcraft 900XP stationed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Orient SKYs' Managing Director Leslie G. Mersei says: “There is a growing demand and need for private jet charter in the region, and we are moving ahead of the rest to be the first to offer private jet charters on this superior mid-sized aircraft.”
The exterior of the aircraft is kept smart and sleek, while the interiors are lined in plush leather, a discreet sign of comfort even when in midair.

LunaJets Offers Private Jet Travel Online
Private jet travel goes online with LunaJets, which offers
travelers the opportunity to purchase empty leg flights on
private jets within Europe, Russia, the Middle East and the
USA. “Empty leg flights” is a term used to describe private
jets returning to their home bases empty.

According to the company’s official statements, LunaJets is
the first to offer such flights online, where travelers can
book flights directly for between 50-80 percent off full
private jet fares. Prices are calculated on flight durations
independent of cabin size.

The company says travelers will be able to enjoy all the comforts of private jet travel – from dedicated services and VIP treatment to onboard luxury – while avoiding the usual pitfalls of commercial air travel. Prices start at US$1,200. Registration on the LunaJets website is free.
PHENOM 300
Embraer Phenom 300 and Phenom 100 are brand new light jets,
with initial production launched by Embraer in 2005. The
Phenom series business aircraft take advantage of the latest
state-of-the-art technology, and integrate excellent
performance, comfort and reasonable price. Their design
takes into account high usage and attendance rate and thus
meets the demands of 1,500 flight hours a
year.
At present, there are a total of more than 350 orders for
these two business aircraft from 23 countries all over the
world.
The comfortable and luxurious cabin in the Phenom 300
business aircraft is designed by the American design studio
of BMW, in a collaborative effort with Embraer. The
decoration and color inside the cabin take on a variety of
styles, which can meet the individual tastes of clients. The
square-built windows, comfortable seats and spacious luggage
compartment make the environment inside more leisurely and
harmonious. The aircraft offers a series of conveniences for
the passengers, including refreshment room, private toilet,
satellite communication and entertainment facilities inside.
Phenom 300 holds nine passengers with ease. The luggage
compartment is 2.15 cubic meters, wherein luggage, golf bags
and equipment for skiing can be deposited. With six
passengers, the aircraft is able to cover a voyage as far as
3,333.6 kilometers. With a maximum mph of 0.78 Mach, the
maximum flying altitude can reach 13,716 meters, which makes
it possible to make a non-stop flight from Beijing to Sanya
or from Guangzhou to Singapore.
Certainly, the design of Phenom 300 makes it equally adept
at short-distance flights. Phenom 300 was authenticated by
the Federal Aviation Administration in 2005. It was sold at
a price of US$6.65 million at that time and is expected to
be put into use in mid-2009.
